SHI Gang is primarily responsible for organizing and managing cross-sectional science and technology projects supported by non-financial funding, and applying, maintaining , and supervising patents and other intellectual properties; promoting, applying , and transferring S&T achievements and proprietary technologies; coordinating and serving  S&T activities of overseas institutes; and other work arranged by institute leaders.
