Website news (Correspondent: Liang Mingming) During October 17~19, the 10th Computer Graphics Conference of China and 18th National Conference on Computer Aided Design and Computer Graphics are held in our school. More than 400 experts and scholars from home and abroad attended the meeting to discuss the developing strategies on computer graphics, computer-aided design and its trend, etc.
Six experts gave special reports on latest research and development of current computer graphics, including: Li Deren, academician of our school; Kwan-Liu Ma, professor at University of California at Davis; Zhang Yongjie, professor of Carnegie Mellon University; Dai Guozhong, professor of Institute of Software of CAS; George Allan, PhD of Siemens; and Dai Qionghai, professor of Tsinghua University.
A total of more than 370 high-level academic papers were received, of which more than 100 articles were recommended to academic journals such as "Science China", "Chinese Journal of Computers", "Journal of Software", "Journal of Computer-aided Design and Computer Graphics", etc.
It is reported that the Conference is of the highest level among academic conferences on computer graphics and computer-aided design, which is held every two years. The conference is hosted by the School of Computer Science, and co-hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing Information Engineering on Surveying and Mapping. It has offered an opportunity for our teachers and students to exchange ideas with experts on computer graphics and computer aided design, which will help promote the development of related fields.
